Flax Seed Oats Banana Smoothie

I recently found an unused packet of flax seeds in m kitchen cabinet. I had no clue how to use it and no idea why I got it in the first place. And then I thought I should be having healthy stuff like this now that I am pregnant. So finally after a lot of web search and consultation with myself and my kiddo within I decided I would try a smoothie. Luckily I had some oats and yogurt in store to make my job easy. So this is the easiest thing I have ever made during this pregnancy. And I have now decided to skip tea/coffee and have something healthier till the ninth month hmmm let's see maybe even thereafter.

Ingredients for Flax seed oats banana smoothie

Flax seed- 2 tbsp
Hone- 2 tbsp
Banana ( robusta)- 2
Oats- 2 tbsp
Yogurt- 1 cup
Ice cubes- 6

Direction

Blend all the ingredients in the mixer/blender and chill before serving. Add sugar if it is not sweet enough. I avoided sugar though. Add cocoa powder or boost/bournvita to get a Sharjah shake feeling and serve with cherries if your target group is kids. As for me I did none of these and was happy to have two glasses for the day. Bananas satiate hunger pangs and if in the form of a milk shake or smoothie it's equivalent to a meal for me.

I was surprised to know that my neighbour's daughter loved this, because she is a poor eater, and her mom never realized this was yogurt and not milk. So that's the verdict on this drink. With the summers awaiting us let's find respite in something chilled :)
