Mushroom Capsicum sandwich


I loved the mushroom sandwich i read at fortheloveofcooking.net. So I modified it a bit with the stuff available at home and made this sandwich. Mushrooms never were generously used up for breakfasts in our kitchen until these sandwiches came our way. They are simple to make and for those of you who love sandwiches all the time here is a new addition.

Ingredients for Mushroom capsicum sandwich



Mushrooms diced- 1 cup
Capsicum slices- 1 cup
Onion chopped- 1 cup
Bread- 4-8 slices
Soya sauce- 2 tbsp
Crushed pepper 2 tsp
Grated cheese- 100 gm- 2 tbsp
Butter- 2 tsp
Oil- 2 tbsp

Directions

In a pan heat oil. Add the onions followed by capsicums and mushrooms and saute them for 5 minutes. Add soya sauce, sprinkle pepper and salt to the mushroom capsicum mix and saute well.See to it that the ingredients are only half cooked.



Now apply butter on both sides of bread and fill in the filling prepared. Sprinkle over with the grates cheese. A dash of oregano, pepper is advisable to those who prefer the strong flavour. Else, grill this in a sandwich toaster and you have an amazing sandwich you cant resist.
