Beans and jackfruit seeds



My mom saves me her treasure of jack fruit seeds and supply them to my kitchen once a year. It's been a ritual ever since I got married and started a kitchen of my own. I never found jack fruit seeds fascinating though raw jack fruit is always welcome. So I had a couple of seeds frozen in m freezer for 6 months. And it was one of those rare days my hubby requested for greens. We found this fresh beans and I decided to experiment with these jack fruit seeds it was more like disposing them in a final attempt and voila ! it actually worked. So here's a simple recipe.

Ingredients for Beans and Jack fruit seeds

Jackfruit seeds- 15 - 20 sliced
Beans- a handful chopped
Shallots- 5-7 minced
Curry leaves- 1 sprig
Turmeric powder- 2 tsp
Salt- to taste
Oil- 2 tsp

Directions

Peel the jack fruit seeds and boil them. Slice them into fours.



Chop the beans.



In a pan heat oil and saute the shallots and curry leaves. Add turmeric and salt followed by the beans and jack fruit seeds. Cook for 15 minutes and its done.
